Endoscopic Robotic Mitral Valve Repairs with Percutaneous Cannulation with T. Sloane Guy, MD, MBA, FACS, FACC

T. Sloane Guy, MD, MBA, FACS, FACC, presents the May 2023 edition of Georgia Heart Institute’s Cardiovascular Grand Rounds. Dr. Guy serves as the Director of Minimally Invasive and Robotic Cardiac Surgery at Northeast Georgia Physicians Group (NGPG) the cardiovascular and thoracic surgery service line of Georgia Heart Institute. Dr. Guy served three tours as an active-duty U.S. Army trauma surgeon, twice in Afghanistan and once in Iraq. He received a Bronze Star Medal and many other combat awards during his service. After finishing his time in the service, Dr. Guy cared for patients at renowned healthcare organizations, including Temple University Health System, Weill Cornell Medical Center, and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He’s also an award-winning physician, having been named a “Top Doc” by Philadelphia magazine and U.S. News & World Report. Dr. Guy is the first robotic cardiac surgeons to perform minimally invasive robotic heart surgeries for Northeast Georgia Health System.
