Dr. William Zickler is a vascular surgeon with Northeast Georgia Physicians Group Vascular Center, an integral part of Georgia Heart Institute. He received his medical degree at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Zickler completed a general surgery residency at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee, followed by a vascular and endovascular surgery fellowship at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, New York. He is now seeing vascular patients in Gainesville and Dawsonville.

Lawrence Justin Charles, MD, is an advanced heart failure cardiologist caring for patients at Georgia Heart Institute's locations in Braselton and Gainesville.
Dr. Charles received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Cincinnati, Ohio. He then completed an internal medicine residency at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio, followed by a general cardiology fellowship with a distinction in cardio-oncology and an advanced heart failure fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Evan Hiner, MD | Heart Failure Treatment & Recovery Center
Board-certified in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology, Dr. Hiner completed an Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Fellowship at Advocate Christ Medical Center (University of Illinois). He also completed a Cardiology Fellowship and an internal medicine residency at Ascension Providence Hospital, affiliated with the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine.
Before joining Georgia Heart Institute, Dr. Hiner was an assistant professor of medicine at Augusta University and an attending physician at Augusta University Medical Center. He now cares for Georgia Heart Institute patients in Braselton, Bethlehem and Hamilton Mill.
Marc Allard-Ratick, MD | Structural Heart Center
Marc Allard-Ratick, MD is returning to Georgia to care for patients with structural heart problems including congenital heart defects and valve conditions at Georgia Heart Institute’s Braselton and Gainesville locations. He earned bachelor’s degrees in biology and chemistry and his medical degree from Emory University in Atlanta. He also completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Emory and was named Chief Resident. He then continued training in Boston through Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital, completing a fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease, a fellowship in Interventional Cardiology and an advanced fellowship in Structural Heart Interventions.
